In Basic Education : Over 1300 students have benefited from Purna Shiksha.
Through Vocational Training : Over 300 youths received training in manufacturing trades, leading to better employment opportunities. 20 ‘Motor Mechanic’ trainees received financial assistance for securing car driving license.
Healthcare : Over 10,000 villagers received doctor’s visits and medicines. A Public Health: March Together designed and manufactured three types of closed and elevated garbage containers with help of trainees at Vocational Training Centre. We received Government of India’s patent certificates for these containers. Awareness leaflets are ready for launching the ‘Clean City’ program.
Relief Work : Financial assistance was given for Tsunami and flood relief work through Ramakrishna Mission and Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission.
Financially assisted Lily Foundation, Dallas in their Feed-the-hungry program.
Public Service Recognition : Recognized two persons for rendering exceptional public service during 2010.
- Sri Maheshwar Jana, an ambulance driver of Kolaghat was recognized as he saved five lives in a capsized boat tragedy in Rupnarayan river.
- Sri Indra Narayan Chowdhury, Sergeant, Kolkata Police was recognized as he recovered an ornament-filled bag from a running bus in Kolkata and handed over to the owner.
Both were presented with a certificate of recognition, Rs. 5,000.00 cash and beautiful Sari’s for their wives during our press conference on February 19, 2010 in Kolkata.
Financial assistance : Poor and needy students were helped.
